Book #1 G-Man and Handcuffs Blurb

Hammocks or handcuffs, he was ready to play… Jolene led the perfect life: a sexy G-man, her own fishing charter service, and a cozy cabin in the woods. And to top it off–all the outdoor sex play she could dream up. It was everything she’d ever wanted—until a madman threatens her peaceful life…

Excerpt:

“Hey Tony!” Jolene’s heartbeat accelerated and she waved her arms above her head. Keeping one arm in the air, she leaned over the side of the boat and paddled the water with her other hand. Last week, he’d told her he wouldn’t arrive until tonight, but after the scare with Kevin she was glad to see him.

Tony threw his fishing pole toward the bank and walked out deeper into the water. Bare-chested and bronzed by the sun, Tony resembled a modern-day hero waiting to rescue the heroine in peril. He dove beneath the water’s surface and reappeared in the middle of the stream, directly in her path. She tossed him the rope tied to the front of the boat and smiled when he caught it. His head bobbed on the water as he tied the end around his waist.

A few seconds later, he shook his head to get the water out of his eyes, grinned, and swam toward the shore. His buff arms sliced through the water, and she couldn’t help admiring the way his back muscles rippled with his movements. He kept his dark hair on the shorter side, and it allowed her to catch a peak of his badge number tattooed on the back of his right shoulder.

Swimming a few more yards, she was able to touch ground, and walked the rest of the way to his side. “Thank you.” She threw her arms around him and laid her head against his chest. “I thought I’d have to float on by the cabin to the ranger station.” She stretched up and gave him a kiss. “Mm…I’ve missed you. I didn’t think you were coming until tonight.”

“I closed the case early.” He pulled in the raft and dragged it up onto the rocks on shore. Throwing the rope down, he cocked his head. “What’s going on here? Did you tip over?” His gaze lowered to her shirt. “Jesus. Are you alright?” He moved over and pulled her torn shirt off her chest. “You’re bleeding.”

Peering down, she noticed the scratch marks between her breasts. She raised her brows. No wonder her chest had stung so much. “I had a trip scheduled today. Some guy named Kevin…” She fluttered her hand. “He had more in mind than fishing and didn’t like when I told him if he didn’t stop, he could walk back to the starting point.”

“He got physical with you?” Tony moved over to his pile of clothes, dressed, and picked up the pistol he always carried. “How long ago?”

She hurried over the uneven rocks. “I don’t know. Maybe an hour.”

“Let’s go.” He turned and headed toward the path leading to the cabin.

“Where are we going?” She hitched her thumb over her shoulder. “I shouldn’t leave the boat out here.”

“I’ll get it later. I’m going after the guy, and you’re going with me.” He pulled his cell out of his pocket, checked the signal, and put the useless phone back in his jeans. “I don’t want to leave you out here by yourself and –”

“Hang on.” She pulled on his arm and he stopped. “I’m not hurt, and I still have all my supplies.” Shaking her head, she snorted. “He’s just a loser. I doubt if he’ll ever show his face around here again.”

Tony stared her down.

She winked. “Come on, this is our time. It’s hard enough going so long between seeing each other, I don’t want to waste it on someone like that creep.”

“It’s not safe for a woman alone out here. I need to set you up with a satellite phone at the least.

She laughed. “I’ve lived in the cabin for six years, and before that, this might as well have been my backyard growing up. I’m perfectly fine here.” She led him the rest of the way to the cabin. “Besides, I’ve got a surprise for you.”

Instead of leading him inside, she giggled and ran around the side of the house, giving him no choice but to follow. After he’d left last weekend, she’d rummaged through the spare bedroom and found the old rope hammock she’d bought years ago. It’d taken two days to hang the blasted thing, but she couldn’t wait to try it out.

Stopping in front of her new toy, she pulled her wet shirt off and slipped out of her cutoffs. She placed her hands on her hips and waited for Tony to follow suit.

“What are we doing?” He set his pistol down on his sneakers and proceeded to strip down.

“We’re having sex on the hammock.” Jolene sat down on the edge of the rope swing and stretched out. “It’ll be fun.”

Book #2 Witness Bares All blurb

Some rules were meant to be broken…

FBI Agent Donovan Hall has always played by the book, until he’s asked to guard the very sexy prime witness in the Bureau’s most dangerous investigation. But Josie’s warm lips and fondness for nudity have him risking his rules for one more night in her bed. With Josie’s court date approaching, Donovan knows he can’t lose his edge. Not if he wants to keep her alive long enough to testify.

Josie knows the rock-hard FBI agent can go from hot to cold at will, but there’s no way she’s going to let him walk away without a fight. Getting past his resolve won’t be easy, but she’s determined to prove he needs more than just her testimony. Much, much more…

Excerpt

The sky was darker than anything she’d ever experienced. No streetlights, no neon signs, no blinding lights from headlights pointed in her direction from cars going home. Josie snuggled down further in the boat and laid her head on Donovan’s backpack. Thank goodness with the glow of the moon she was able to make out most of Donovan’s face or she’d go crazy.

The roar of the river seemed incredibly loud in the dead of night. In the day, the rush of water over rocks created a gentle lullaby that soothed and relaxed. At night, it could have been the background music for a low-budget horror flick with all its heavy footsteps and deep breathing.

“We just passed Bryce.” Donovan lifted the oars out of the water and gazed down at her. “He’s the last safety net. We’re on our own for the next hour or so.”

She chewed on her lip. Donovan was more than competent in his job. “How do we know when we reach the bottom of the mountain and what do we do when we arrive?”

He slipped the oars back into the water. “Once we reach the dam, we’ll walk about two miles to a little town called Yale. Bryce has arranged for us to have a car available to use.”

“Dam?” She shot up. The canoe wobbled, and Donovan lost control in the current. She shrieked and lunged over the bench seat for him. The dark, swirling waters frightened her more than toppling over the dam and killing herself did. “D-Donovan—”

A loud crack followed with Donovan’s dammit nearly stopped her heart. She let go of his arm and sunk down in the canoe. “What was that?”
“Lay flat.” He pulled the broken oar that was shot in half out of the ring holder and flung it in the water.

Afraid to move and rock the canoe more, she stretched out and tried to reach for Donovan. “Get down!”

“Don’t worry about me. We’ve got to get some distance between us and them.” He pulled the one remaining oar through the water before switching sides and repeating the action. “Get my cell phone out of the bag. See if it works yet.”

It wasn’t easy to turn around with the bench blocking her from the backpack. She wormed her way over and past. Her hands shook, and she struggled with the zipper on the side of the bag. Come on, come on…there!

She held the phone up in the air. “I got it.”

“Fuck.” He dropped the oar in the bottom of the canoe, dragged the pistol out of the holster under his arm, and kneeled down in the boat. “Stay down. I just saw movement up ahead.” He shoved the magazine in the pistol and pushed the safety off. “Take cover.”

The quick repetitive pop, pop, pop had her lying flat down on her stomach when the cell phone vibrated against her chest. She jerked back. Two bars showed up in the right top corner of the screen. She sat up, being careful not to rock the canoe. “It works!”

Standing up, she leaned over to hand their one lifeline for help to Donovan. Another blast came, she screamed, and her body pitched over the side of the boat…

#3, Steel and Hardness blurb

One made of steel, the other all hardness… both of them hers…

Pauline never imagined she’d fall in love with two men, let alone two FBI agents. But their love triangle apparently pleased them all, so why look a gift horse in the mouth? Once she finalized the sale of her real horse back home, she planned to join them out at the cabin to enjoy a bit of… the great outdoors.

Bryce and Taylor, best friends and partners, never gave a second thought to sharing the woman they loved. Dedicated and honorable, they vowed to work out any problems that might arise, and so far, their three-way relationship had been nothing but perfect. Until Pauline failed to show up at the cabin…

Excerpt

The mosquito landed on her leg. Pauline Sergoni froze, her hand suspended in the air. This time she’d kill the thing once and for all.

Slap.

“Ah ha! Gotcha.” She brushed the remains off her skin and dipped her hands into the water. “Jolene sure is one lucky gal to have all this at her disposal. I think I’d really enjoy bringing my horses out here to ride along the river.” She stood up and flipped back her mahogany locks, the ends already wet and sticking to her bare stomach. “I probably should have tied my hair back.”

Bryce stood a few feet away from her, keeping two inner tubes from floating downstream. “We figured you’d like it out here.” The sound of someone running across rocks reached them. He peered past her shoulder. “About time you got here. I was ready to steal Pauline away for the day by myself if you didn’t get your ass down here soon.”

Taylor laughed and swooped Pauline up in his arms. “No way. I’ve looked forward to this weekend all week. I thought my case would go on forever. I’m more than ready for a day of fun.” He nuzzled her neck. “I’m going through withdrawals, brown eyes.” He gave her a loud smack on the lips. “I’ve missed you.”

She giggled, running her hand through his short blonde curls. “Mmm, me too. I definitely missed seeing you do that.” She grabbed his hand, stopped, and gazed up at Bryce. “Uh oh. You only brought two inner tubes?”

Taylor wrapped his buffed arms around her waist, pulling her tight against his hard, sculptured body. “Bryce has had you for the whole week by himself while I was working, so I get you today. We can double up.” He shifted his hips forward and pressed the proof of how serious he was against her. “If you’re nice to me, I might let Taylor join in the fun…that’s if he can keep up with us.”

      Hi Paula,

That is strange. Have you contacted the Sony ebookstore and asked? Maybe there’s a problem on their end. I wouldn’t think that it would be because of your location if you’ve been able to buy my other books. If they can’t help you, I’d suggest contacting Annie at Etopia Press. I know the Etopia Press site carries all file formats, and one of those should work on your Sony ereader.

If none of that helps, let me know and I’ll see what I can do. I don’t have a Sony or I’d go buy one just to see if there is a problem with their website.

I tried to download them when I downloaded your other books but still they will not let me…
Our you re-releasing them, if so that could be the problem also…It happens when an Author re-releases and older book…
I read alot and it’s easier for me to carry my ereader because I travel for work, would it be possible for you to try and find out what is happening?
How am I suppose contact Annie at Etopia Press?

    Thanks..

    Hi there,

Just thought I would let you know that I have a Sony e-reader and it can be picky with what books it loads. Sometime I just get the cover and no book so I have to use calibre ( which is free and a great ebook help) to change the formate from pdf to ebup or the other way round, even tho it should play both. Maybe you can give that ago if you haven’t sorted it out yet.

Oh and Abby Thank you for your great books, I’m bed bound alot due to my back and books like yours keep me from going out of my mind, cos I get so lost in your stories I can manage the pain alot better. I’ve only just found you and brought this series and cant wait for more it was so great. Now going to go buy afew more. So again Thank you so so much.

    All the best
    Maria

  5. Abby Wood says:

Thank you, Maria…that’s good advice. Calibre seems to be the doctor for all ebook formatting. I’ve used it for my Kindle before.

Also, thank you for your message. You make me smile, and motivate me to keep writing. I’m going to email you a gift, so watch your inbox!

  6. Michell says:

Will you be writing any more of the Alpha Agents Series?
