Abby Wood ~ Erotic Romance Author

Throwing a Kink in the Kidnapping is a laugh out loud funny erotica that offers as humor as well as mind boggling sex. (Not to spoil the story, but keep an eye out for the “burro scene”. It had me blowing Coke bubbles through my nostrils and laughing uncontrollably in my chair!).

The premise is fairly simple. The King of Sanovi, Devon Guy, sees the beautiful Melina Cruisse dancing naked under the light of a moon during her vacation. In that moment, he wants her more than he’s ever wanted a woman. Taking advantage of her slightly drunken state, he guides her to his limo and whisks her away to his palace, intent on enticing her to stay with him. When Melina is coherent enough to make heads and tails of what is going on, she quickly surprises the King by showing him she’s a woman with numerous passions, all of which she’s not afraid to share. Of course, steamy sex and hilarity ensue, and you won’t stop reading until you get to the end.

As for the formalities: the story is tightly written, the sub-plot offers a bit of intrigue and mystery, and the characters are ones you will adore. Most assuredly worth a read, I recommend Throwing a Kink in the Kidnapping.

Review: I’ve never taken a vacation like this when I was single. However, I would have loved to. Not only is Melina pampered beyond her wildest dreams. There is also a few twists and turns in the plot that will have you wondering what is going on. Devon is the type of man who can sweep you off your feet and have your toes curling just looking at him. There are a couple of scenes some people might find offensive.

This is a fun, quick story of paradise and love. Some of the setting descriptions left me wishing summer was still here. I’d love to read more from this author in the future. Believe you me, you won’t be disappointed reading about Melina and Devon.

Throwing a Kink in the Kidnapping is a fast paced story about a woman trying to find herself and ending up in a situation where she didn’t have a lot of control. I liked the fact that Melina was constantly doing the unexpected and kept you waiting to see what she would do next. One of the secondary characters was a perfect addition to this story as it unfolded, especially when Melina was first taken to Devon’s home. Devon was very controlling, even though he was extremely hot. Ms. Wood wove a good story that includes a bit of suspense toward the end of the book and gave you enough glimpses about the island to create your own paradise.

This story is a wondrous adventure wrapped in a refreshing plot and built around unforgettable and dynamic characters. The added touches of suspense and treachery to the story give additional elements that will keep readers turning page after page. Melina is a sassy and inquisitive heroine out to live for the moment, an to an endearing woman that readers can relate too. Devon is an irresistible, honorable, and intelligent hero who most women would love have sweep them off their feet. The pairing is simply divine, the chemistry is sizzling, and the verbal sparring will have the reader laughing out loud. The secondary characters work wonderfully as a complement to the story. The scenes of thrilling pleasure between Devon and Melina are sensual and passionate without being too graphic. This story is pure reading pleasure.

This author has created a romance to savor and enjoy from beginning to end.

Going Down at the Dock

They say that going to the docks can be dangerous, but that doesn’t stop
Jasmine Kendall from following her master’s wild scheme. She has no clue if
her master Darren Finnegan is really around when she starts her walk down
the boardwalk. Can she really follow through and submit to his desires and
make three strangers come.

I thought the book started out really strong when Jasmine got off the phone
and played in the elevator, it immediately hooked me. I couldn’t wait to
see what was going to happen. After such a strong start I was slightly
disappointed in the meat of the story. It just seemed to be missing
something, I guess because we barely got to know Darren. He was always
there, but we didn’t actually meet him until almost the end of the book.
However, the sex scenes with the various men on the dock were very steamy.
She started off pretty mild and then she just took you on a ride, so to
speak. Each scene became more and more risqué’ and the written word
became pictures in my mind. Jasmine knew what she was doing and the reader
can just imagine how the men reacted when they saw the scenes unfold before
their eyes. Even the ‘pirate’ added a cute element to the story, because
who doesn’t like a good pirate?

I hope that we see more to the relationship between Jasmine and Darren.
There’s a lot we don’t know about the two of them and I’d love to find out
more. However, I did enjoy the character driven story and will look for
more of Ms. Wood’s books to see what else she has in store for her readers.

Winning Off the Court

Review: NICE!!! I will never look at a steam room the same again It’s too bad that I have no idea how to play tennis or I would be tempted to join a club. Fast, hot and packs a punch, this tiny tidbit was just enough without going overboard. HOT!!!

Tagging Her Lynx

Holy hotness, Batman. This is definitely a hot-hot book, with hot-hot love scenes. Beautifully emotive, and deep. Loved them. I really enjoy the shape-shifter romances. I think there’s something really primal about the relationship between a male shape-shifter and his mate. I definitely like the sort of traditional relationship that Chloe learns to enjoy… you’ll get what I mean if you read it. It’s about 100 pages, and interesting. If you’re into erotic romance, I would consider picking it up. Especially if you also like shape-shifting romance as well.

Consent to the Cowboy

“Consent to the Cowboy” is the sort of erotic romance that I enjoy to read. The erotic scenes are really hot and always consensual. The romantic scenes are sweet and the balance between hot and lovely feels just right to me.

Daphne is a woman who learned the hard way not to trust in men. She’s so unsure about her feelings for Will because she fears to some day be left behind. You can really feel her pain and it’s great to see when she finally starts to trust into her relationship with Will. Will is a very dominant man and looks for a woman who is willing to give him total submission. He knows that Daphne could be the one but also realizes that her trust issues could destroy their relationship. I emjoyed that he stayed back (at least for some time) when Daphne needed to be alone but that in the end he was willing to do the first step to get her back.

All in all I enjoyed reading this short erotic romance a lot and will definitely look for more books by Abby Woods in the future.

“Consent to the Cowboy” is the first book by Carina Press that I read and it definitely makes me excited to read more books by this new digital publisher.

Consent to the Cowboy

Both Daphne and Will are caught up in a relationship that is the strongest in reaction and tension from the first page.  Their love for one another is immediate, but Daphne’s trust for Will is tested and her past catches up with her.  As Will private business is being thwarted by those in his past, he vows not to let them control him again.  His love for Daphne is so delicate at the same time fiery! Author Abby Wood brings the story to a breathtaking ending!  This book is incredible, strong in plot, high in sexual tension, emotions and adventures. Moderated but flaming BDSM scenes and a very loving and embracing relationship between Daphne and Will was beautiful to read. Abby Wood has a winner here with CONSENT TO THE COWBOY. I loved the scenes too with her horse from Will.  Here’s hoping for more cowboy stories from author Abby Wood, along with seeing Ana, Daphne’s friend story! You’ll be hoping (and begging) that the author does tell Ana’s story with a cowboy and more in the setting of the town of Podunk!

Consent to the Cowboy – 4 1/2 tea cups!

I absolutely loved Consent to the Cowboy and even told my husband, who is in a D/S relationship of his own, that he HAS to read this story. I’m giving Consent to the Cowboy four and a half Tea Cups. My one real complaint is that Consent to the Cowboy is not longer than it is, but I loved it and wished there was more to read! The heat rating is a high two! I will be rereading this story again, I can guarantee it.
