The presents are wrapped, the kids are in bed, and the dogs are nestled down snug in their beds. The Christmas lights are twinkling, the candles are lit, and some smexy holiday tunes are playing low on the stereo. What do adults do? Specifically, what do two consenting adults who need to relieve some heavy holiday stress do?
There are a lot of fun things on hand. Ribbons, bows, tape, tissue paper, gift wrapping, Do-not-open-til-Christmas tags, fudge, candycanes, Hersey’s kisses, bells, snow, and marshmallows. The list can go on, and is only limited by your imagination. Think of the noise objects make, treats that can be licked, material that can be unwrapped, cut, and unwound.
Don’t forget a little dash of special in your eggnog, your hot chocolate, or your toddy. Get rid of the inhibitions that hold you back from celebrating the seasons in grand style. I know a lot of us women receive pretty sparklies from our lover. What better way to show it off than wearing nothing at all, except his gift.
Most of all, have fun together. The holidays are stressful on the best of days, and taking the time to enjoy each other is the perfect way to ground yourself to handle the relatives, the inpatients of kids wanting to open presents, and attending those company parties.
Merry Christmas Everyone!
