Feels like a mini vacation

Between battling frozen pipes, the rush of the holiday season, and real life getting in the way, I have received a little mini vacation away from writing. It’s driving me bonkers! My fingers itch to get back in the groove of continuing on my Lynx story. I’m around 23,000 words, but I’m waiting for Christmas to be over before I give it my full concentration again. I get too lost in my writing and time tends to slip away from me.

I’m almost ready for Christmas. I got most of the presents bought and wrapped. I was supposed to finish it all up tomorrow, but we have a snow storm coming through this afternoon and the weathermen say it will dump 5-8 inches on us. This is wet, slick snow, so I doubt if I’ll be able to drive down the mountain even with 4wheel drive and studded snow tires on. That’s life though!

Plus, it will help me create the perfect atmosphere for writing if the snow sticks around. My Lynx story is set in Alaska, in the winter time. I grew up in Alaska, so I can picture it all in my head. I live for snow! lol

What kind of weather are you having? Do you enjoy the cold and snow?
